Avatar: The Last Airbender: Original Characters
Hey. This is my first post Whoot X3|
But I was making a Doujinshi (Fan Comic) for Avatar, and I wanted to know what you all thought. I only have the first two pages posted on my DA, and I'm working (Very, Very slowly) on the third
The art is TERRIBLE. It was posted a LONG time ago. I keep getting distracted.
But the basic plot: After defeating the Fire Lord, Aang had to wrap everything up. 1) Find the Earth King and put him back in power 2) Bestow Airbending on those with the spirit of one. Zuko joins to search for his mother. They first find themselves in a tropical island called Mirai. The people there are poor, since before the war their main sorce of money was trade, and the war closed the trade routes. They find out that someone matching the Earth King's discription was in the area, but also heard rumors of a possible uprising on the island.
The Earth King Kuei, while in disguise, found himself in the company of female anarchists. At first he was too afraid to try and leave, but now he feels that if he learns about why they hate their respective governments, maybe he can fix it. Among the many women he meets are the 9 strongest:
Kiara- Kiara Chibi The Leader. Nonbending, but makes up for it in strength and dicipline. She is proud and vain, and not the brightest crayon in the box, but is loyal with a strong sense of honor. She made the group to avenge the death of her eldest brother. She seems to go out of her way to prove her strength and leadership over the other girls....Maybe she fears being overthrown? She flirts with Kuei all the time, though her advances tend to scare him away more than anything.
Ching Lan- Ching Lan Chibi Second in command, the oldest, and probably the brains of the group. The first female Dai Lee, she left when Ba Sing Se became corrupt. She seems slightly annoyed by Kiara, but respects her.
Mo Li Hua- Mo Li Hua Chibi Ching Lan's bastard child. She's very smart, and a very skilled bender. She HATES Kiara, but would never let her know that (Truth be told, Kiara's a bit dense) She's sarcastic and witty, and likes to play chess
Akihana- Akihana Chibi Sweet and mild mannered, Akihana hails from the northern water tribe, and left because women can't learn bending. She loves Chisaki.
Chisaki- Chisaki Chibi Chisaki hates men in general, and doesn't trust Kuei in the least. She's very protective of Akihana. She's a nonbender from the Fire Nation colonies, and uses a warhammer.
Eun Mi- Eun Mi Chibi Daughter of a Fire Nation General, she left when she found out about all the horrific acts her father did. She is an archer, and is witty and funloving. She's best friends with Mo Li Hua.
Karishma- Karishma Chibi A sandbender. After her village was attacked, she wandered the desert, untill she was found by Kiara. She was eternaly gratefull, and would never question her. She's fun and playful, but not as bright as Eun Mi or Mo Li Hua
Hiroko- Hiroko Chibi Hiroko is insane. She looks like a sweet young girl, to lure people into a trap, were she kills them. She likes to experiment on people.
Astuki- Atsuki Chibi The only Firebender of the group, Atsuki always had problems following orders. She not only firebends but makes exsplosives and other weapons.
Without revealing too much, the story is going to start at Mirai (Off the western Earth Kingdom coast) and end in Ba Sing Se. It will also have Long Feng and some Dai Lee, along with 3 more OCs
Hung-One of Long Feng's childhood friends, quiet and loyal. Before she left, he loved Ching Lan, but she didn't love him back.
Indira-A black widow, or a woman who marries rich men and kills them to earn their fortune. She habors Long Feng and some of his agents in her topsey turvy maze of a house. She loves Long Feng (Why is anyone's guess), though he couldn't care less.
Taro- Long Feng's illigeniment son. Non-bending, but a genious. Of course, he seems to lack the ability to feel guilt, and doesn't know the difference between right and wrong.
Mainly I'm asking about the characters, so I wanted to know if you think I should make any changes.
